Original Problem: To create 2 book covers that match each other in style and the selected author's titles. Include original analog illustration and type.

Solution: Two book covers were created from Claire Messud's work, titled "The Last Life" and "The Burning Girl". Credited photography was used for the covers to relate the designs to Messud's other book covers. Typography that relates to the theme and story of each book is also used. Grids were used for both books to increase readability and flexibility. Similar color schemes were used as well as layouts so the books match together. They also work independently.
